I have developed a non-governmental funded program that is run through a non-profit organization, funded by private corporate and rider funds that is affordable, accessible, adapable and acceptable. This program uses existing transportation providers, paying them a profitable rate and is a win-win-win scenario for the riders, providers and corporate sponsors.

Can you explain more how this program works?
I would like to know more about this program and the size of the area in which your program operates. Also do you transport people with wheelchairs, scooters, etc? How long did it take you to set it up? Please share your program.
I have clients who won't ride a bus or take a taxi because they have driven all there lives. We also have poor bus transportation in our area.
I have not been able to establish this program in our community, yet. It needs a non-profit to be the broker, so that donations from businesses can be tax-deductible. Each community will have to see what providers are available and if any handle wheelchairs. The clients that won't take rides from providers must also ask if they want to count on family and friends for their rides. If you are in a rural area, it will be more difficult to find providers and may have to count on church groups or other community funded transports for rides. Check with the hospitals in the area.
I would like to hear more about this program too.
Is there a non-profit in your community that could be the broker agency for this? They would need an Administrator and scheduler available. The Administrator would also be the fund-raiser who would approach medium and large corporations in the community to underwrite 80% of the rides. They get three things from this. First, tax-writeoff. Second, good will from community. Third, loyalty shoppers. The riders (only criteria, can't drive self) would get rides at affordable rates, more independence from family/friends for rides, freedom to go places that were only paid for by public transportation. Providers get rates that are reasonable to make money, provider of needed service and additional rides booked.
I would like more information on this program. In the area where I service the elderly we do not have transportation services for the elderly. Please share your program it will help a great deal of seniors in need.
